i wann try and recreate this flavour at home
the ingredients list on the back says
>sugar
>buttermilk powder
>tomato powder
>onion powder
>hydrolysed soya protein
>garlic powder
>dried soy sauce
>dried parsley
>dried green and red peppers
>chilli powder
>basil extract
i don't have all of those things so i'm looking for alternatives, particularly for the hydrolysed soya protein

Idk, use the real version instead of powders? For example, instead of buttermilk powder use buttermilk, soy sauce instead of soy sauce powder. And forget about hydrolyzed soy, that's probably just some kind of stabilizer.

i'm worried using liquids will just make whatever i end up usng this on soggy
i was thinking kale chips to try it out on though, that'd probably work fine

Yeah, it would be more like a dip or something. I think that's what you should aim for here, not coating stuff in powder. Of course the difficulty will be getting the right proportion of fresh ingredients. You'll just have to experiment a bit. It sounds like it could be a damn tasty dip.

hydrolyzed soy actually gives a lot of savory flavor. it's hard to get hydrolyzed soy though.

yeah thinking of a replacement is tricky
i suppose if i'm making a dip then maybe just like, beef broth, or veggie broth
