Regardless, if you added another ladle of stock to the pic in your OP pic, it would be about perfect, as most risotto are prepared with a fairly wet consistency almost resembling a cream type of sauce.

I don't know shit about risotto but this plate of rice seems like the most delicious.
I just had some risotto for dinner and it was shit, the grains were still very slightly crunchy in the center and it pissed me off.
