What's the best place to get banoffee pie in London, /ck/?
Try borough market?
You don't get it here that much.

Is it more of a country thing?

Try Betty Blythe, they don't always have it though.

Thanks. I guess banoffee pie isn't really that popular in Britain. I had it once and thought it was very tasty so wanted to try some while in the homeland.
Growing up I always assumed banoffee was banana & coffee. In retrospect, that sounds pretty appealing.

It's very tasty. Recommend you try. It's pretty easy to make too, but, I'm probably getting the crust wrong

You get it in carveries a lot. I think most of us don't realise it's an English creation. I always assumed it was American growing up

I meant a national pie or desert, not really who invented it.

Can't think of a more historic British pudding than trifle. It's got everything. Swiss roll, sherry, strawberry jelly, syllabub, custard.
Of course steamed puddings are also a huge deal.
Treacle tart.
Cream tea.
