So I live in an appartment that gets hot as hell on warm days, and I worry for my bread.

That's why I'm contemplating storing it in the fridge (for use right away, instead of a breadbox or some shit). Does this ruin the bread in any way shape or form?

Keeping it in the fridge is the worst possible place to store it. It will go stale much faster there than anything else.

Either freeze it, or store it at room temperature.

If you don't have a breadbox then use one of those brown paper sacks.

Quality bait OP, even if unintentional. Bet this thread gets to 300 replies in 2 days.

I think it will be fine.

but anons, it's 32°C here. This bread will be dead within two days

By what mechanism is it going bad? Mold? If so, moisture is the problem, not temperature. Get it out of the plastic and into something that can breathe a little (breadbox or the aforementioned paper sack)

I keep bread in the fridge without issue, OP. Anyone who says it goes bad faster that way is reciting doctrine without a single fucking clue what they're talking about.

Get a stone bread bin. My bread lasts for ages in it.

sprouted wheat bread gets moldy SUPER FAST.

you better fridge it.
>>

Its about 32 here too and I keep my bread at room temp in a breadbox just fine, also bread is something that is usually consumed pretty fast, if it lasts you over a week just buy smaller breads or start freezing

>complaning it goes bad

I can't help but feel it will be more moist (in a not good way)
>>

Mold is a moisture problem. Get it out of that plastic bag and into something that can breathe, like a paper sack or breadbox. Problem solved.

If you are serious, the only bread you should consider storing in the fridge is sprouted grain bread or Ezekiel bread because it goes bad really quickly if left out.
