I want to make something better than soylent that actually meets your nutritional needs with as little effort as possible.

What should I put into it? How should I make it? I've already thought of using orange juice as a base for Vitamin C and apples as a source of fiber... what else should I use?

sounds like youre putting more effort into it than eating regular food, and don't know anything about actual nutrition

Many foods become higher glycemic when made liquid. Just eat regular whole plant foods. You get less satiation from stuff you guzzle instead of chew. Lots of stuff you can just eat as-is without putting any thought into it after weighing it out. I try to eat at least 400 grams of greens each day, and I usually have them that way.

Apples and grains spike your blood sugar a bit more in liquid form. Bananas and berries not so much. De-fibered juices should be avoided entirely. Have you looked into how commercial "orange juice" is made?

nearly every vegetable has vitamin C

add soy
>>
why not just buy pure vitamin C for $10/kg you dip...

flour (whatever's cheapest) for carbs, or some dextrose or other carb powder, but thats more expensive
80% whey for protein (or soy/pea if you can get it much cheaper)
whatever oil is cheap (canola, soybean, ...)
fiber powder or a bean flour for fiber

then just eat a multivitamin or three

Pic related. This stuff, which comes in handy plastic bags and is available year-round almost everywhere. A bag of this and any protein source you like and you should be good for a day.

Can confirm. I have a bowl of this, with a mix of kidney beans/garbonzos. Feel like i get all my nutrition there for the day and just have anything else for the rest

Interesting that you're posting this, because I've been experimenting with eating more for nutrition than "indulgence" recently. My focus has been allowing for optimal digestion and nutritional intake, which means a semi-puree diet. Kind of resembles a mechanical soft diet as well. Uncooked that means, anything mushy--emphasis on avocados, bananas, natural applesauce, yogurt...I love raw ginger too. Cooked, I often go to spinach, mashed sweet potatoes, watercress, beets, and peas. I also make my own hummus as well. The emphasis is less work for your digestive process, so that energy can be utilized in other ways.

Also, what I've cut out is all carbs--no bread, rice, crackers, so on. Obviously that means no sandwiches, wraps, pizza, or anything else like that. Not even sushi. For protein I mix either almond butter or sunflower seed butter with greek yogurt and fruit. Plus a whey protein shake; obviously lots of water, as well...Right now I've taken a landscaping gig, and this diet has met my energy/nutritional needs. I feel great, overall as well. In fact, on a rare occasion I might fuck up and eat some junk-shit with my boys...fries or a slice of pizza...then I feel like shit for the next 12-15 hours. Lethargic, bloated; just yuck...that's why I got into this. Not wanting to walk around like a constantly farting, shitting, low energy, heartburn having ballbag...
