Is this really necessary?

Gourmet Boutique LLC, with establishments in Jamaica, New York and Phoenix, is recalling approximately 294,744 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced Friday. The products could contain milk, a known allergen, which is not declared on the product label.

Well if you knowingly jam it in your product then yeah, it should be on the label.
These guy's are probably already being sued, and are dialing back so they don't get sued any more. So yeah, from the standpoint of a corporation...it's pretty fucking necessary.
most, if not all, of that meat is shipped in frozen from the third world and is mostly skin and gristle
i wouldn't eat it if you paid me
Yes, file a compliant with your local congressman.

Skin and gristle are pretty tasty.

People actively look for reasons to sue companies
it'll probably cost them less in the long run
>eating tendies that aren't actually made out of chicken tenders
what puts a man on the path to this?
>>9040678
labeling should be pretty fucking sacrosanct, otherwise you get China. and it's being recalled because they lied about what was in it, not because of what's in it, you're perfectly allowed to put milk in your tendies if you say you have.

Are you asking if pre-made "ready to eat" chicken is necessary?
No, you can buy fresh chicken and cook it yourself.

The third world has the best meat though

Exactly this

Most places have better meat than the US but the best isn't in the 3rd world
Yes, I have a friend who is anaphylactic to milk. Absolutely necessary, don't want that fucker to die

If you're talking about "normal" meat or poultry that the average person would buy then I agree completely.
You can, however, get even better meat in other countries, but you have to deal with specialist farms/vendors and pay quite a lot of money for it.
