seeing all this I'd like to address a common issue with cooking some people might also have.

I can make the beautiful looking foods, but I have to leave leftovers to do so. If you want to cut onion they way it comes out beautiful, you will have a tiny piece of unusable ugly onion bits. If you want to fry things the way they come out perfect you will have leftover batter and fried bits. And so on and so on.

don't think french toast cooked in bacon fat would taste good though, but that's just me. kept hearing how delicious everything is cooked in bacon fat, tried cooking eggs in bacon fat, just made it taste like bacon and couldn't taste egg anymore. didn't like it.
