I try to plan for the week when I go. Think about a couple of dishes that can be spaced out. If you have time, cooking and freezing stuff for when you're lazy and don't feel like sitting in the kitchen is a good idea. I make a large salad I can graze on through the week. Having quick stuff like eggs, sandwiches, yogurt, and fruit is good to keep around too.
