I never ate chicken tendies so I don't know how spicy they are. Honey mustard was invented for dishes that have too fine a flavor for traditional mustard. Bavarian Weisswurst is the only example that I know of.

I like making my own and using different honey and mustard combination. I dig it, and it's applicable as a sauce to a lot of different finger foods...but it's super easy and nothing special.
