my mom used to make them. I used to love them but then I just couldn't take it any more. I prefer chicken hearts a lot more. Both have similar taste and chewy texture, but heart doesnt have that nasty fat on it, or whatever the clear part is

Chicken gizzards in a chicken and sausage gumbo are GOAT
Cook until tender, but still has a good, slightly chewy bite to give you a different texture againt the wonderful tenderness of slowcooked chicken thighs and legs.
>>
Usually curry them or stew with rice pretty godlike honestly I coukd eat it straight for a week it seems to absorb flavor quite nicely plus the nice chewy texture.
>>
I've only eaten them fried but love me some gizzards. Might look into preparing them a different way.

$.99/lb and pure lean protein that can be fried, braised, grilled or steamed. No other meat is necessary for an enjoyable, healthy life. I eat them all the time.
