I'm looking at buying pic related or something smaller they have because (I have no friends).

What skewer grills do you guys have use or want? Please post some here, I'm in Australia, if they ship here, great.
>>
>>9018272
I'll be your friend. We can grill together. It will be ok if you're not annoying
>>
>>9018272
Do this
>Go buy a section of steel guttering from Bunnings
>cut it desired size
>cut out square sections to attach as end pieces
>cut out holes in side of gutter for oxygen
>Use some bricks to create a stand
Don't waste money on a square steel box that you will likely only use 5 times. good luck
>>
>>9018613

Sydney

>>9018757

nah brah I will use it plenty of times
>>
>>9018272
Why not get a small weber that you can use to grill other things than just skewers? That thing seems like a really dumb unitasker. You can't fit a steak, fish or other cuts of meat on it like a pork shoulder. I know you aussies have a reputation for stupidity, but c'mon.
>>
If you have the resources, you could make one from sheet metal by rolling a 2/3 of a cylinder. There's a neat youtube video of a guy doing it.
>>
>>9019093
Lol no u wont brah
>>
>>9018272
Hey this is a traditional meal from my place, i'm surprised to see them on /ck/, makes me proud
>>
>>9018272
I"d recommend buying a few bricks and throwing an iron pan at the bottom of a shallow brick trench you've made. Easy.
>>
>>9019588
You're Japanese?
>>
>>9019819
No, silly.
>>
>>9019819
Probably SEA. My guess would be flip.

Get metal skewers, something flat but not too tall or wide, with a loop on one end and a point on the other. All metal construction, no plastic or wood handle.
>>
>>9019819
Italian
>>
>>9018272
That is made from low quality sheet metal and angle iron. You can made something better for cheap. Head over to /diy/. You can buy something like an 18 gauge steel enclosure from Hammond with the right dimensions. That that and a drill, you can made something much better.
>>
>>9020359
>bitches about low quality sheet metal
>proceeds to recommend low quality sheet metal

He doesn't need 18 ga shit and a drill. He needs 1/4" (or thicker) plate, and a welder.
>>
>>9020392
1/4" plate is overkill. Look at the pic OP posted. That isn't even 18 gauge. A 12x6x7 welded 18 gauge chassis with some vent holes drilled in the sides and a raised charcoal bed made from a grill grate or some expanded metal would work great and only cost ~$25-30.

Nope, it's Malaysia
>>
>>9020736
Stop stealing stuff from Indonesia reeeeee
>>
>>9019819
Skewer cooking is international
>>
>>9020736
Malaysia is SEA you mong
>>
>>9020802
Is that what your mom calls her job
>>
>>9019181
well... you can probably fit more metal rod in the middle

They have pic related also, I might just get this one it looks like it could fit a steak on it and is easier to clean.
>>
>>9020126

Yes I intend too

>>9020359

Just a drill? I can't cut metal. I'm scared.
>>
>>9021064

Yes, just a drill. The welded chassis is just a box without a full lid just like posted in >>9021059. You would use the drill to make ventilation holes (i.e. round ones instead of the rectangular slots. You can buy an unpainted steel or aluminum box of whatever dimensions you like (or reclaim one from some piece of electronics). Basically, if you see some box that costs less than the $75 they want for that little grill, you can make one in about 15 minutes. If I had one laying around, I would make one just to show you.
>>
>>9019588
bella pe' gli arrosticini
>>
>>9021059
That looks much better. Apparently you aussies can evolve into rational humans.
>>
>>9021124

How did you know it was $75? Also I don't have a drill or any tools, just some screw drivers, so that means I would have to buy an electric drill.
>>
>>9021259
>How did you know it was $75?
The graphic says bbqaroma.com.au. I used a web browser to go there. Then it took two clicks to find the item and the price.

If you want a small cheap grill, something like this might be more useful.

>>
>>9021372

Nice, but you should've used those detective skills to better use and you would've seen I'm from Australia and they don't deliver to Australia. ;)
>>
>>9021532
I know that Aussie Amazon only does books. I was just sending a link to the product. You might like something like that as it would be more versatile.
>>
>>9021592

Thanks :^)

I will have a look around to find something cheaper than the $75 grill

Hmmm, I know Strayan pricing sucks, but damn. They are literally the equivalent of $66 roo-dollars in the States.
>>
>>9019093
I live in Sydney. Near Glebe to be precise.

I'll cook with you.
>>
>>9021738

I'm actually European Aussie

>>9021807

Because our economy is strong and we now have the world record for a country without a recession, 26 years. Therefore we pay through the ass.

>>9021849

Cool A/S/L?

I'm in Hurstville
>>
>>9021532
What happened to Australian men? When I was 18 back in 1991 I would have just made one of these out of folded sheet metal and pop rivets. No instructions, just for shits and giggles.

Truly this new generation is unable to do anything without hand holding. Won't even just give something a fucking crack just to see if you can. Has to ask other people to look shit up for him on the internet. Pathetic.
>>
>>9022770
Crikey, gramps, if you had followed your dream of establishing a sheetmetal riveting school, we might have learned. More's the pity.
>>
>>9022770

I'm a bi trap, I do girly things, like cook and clean in my maid outfit

I dunno, we made ours out of bricks and a grate from home depot. Not sure why you all want to make it into this project,
>>
>>9022906
I make mine out of ABC gum and twigs
>>
>>9022770
To be fair not everyone has a collection of tools m8. And tools are very expensive.

Wait until you meet American millenials... can't cook an egg... can't hammer a nail... can only "protest", complain, zero work ethics, and zero shame in begging for shit.

I swear, the Asians are going to take over the world in the next 1000 years.
