Anyone use massdrop lately? They've started selling kitchen appliances and other cooking related wares. Seems like a pretty good deal for this 1.9qt sauce pan.
Is this some chinese knock off, or do they just take 6 months to ship it or something? Is it too good to be true?
I need to decide quickly as only 5 remain and 17 hours left on the drop.

It's real
It's the 150 line which isn't the best
Smaller pans, it's fine
Larger, you want 2.5mm or don't bother

>It's the 150 line which isn't the best
if it's the 150 line vs all-clad stainless which would you get?
>>9015657
On the product page it says this
>Pans range in thickness from 1.5mm - 2.5mm
Since it's the 1.9Qt version, i'd expect closer to 1.5mm, but with the cast iron handle it will need a bit of weight as well, so i could see it being up to 2mm as well.

Performance would be similar, though with the 150 line likely winning for MOST situations, the all-clad stuff will be cheaper however.
Especially if you're paying MSRP on the Mauviel instead of massdrop pricing.

It says it's 150c2 line in the description.

Yes, and the mauviel site product page says the 150 series ranges from 1.5mm to 2.5mm thickness.

Webmaster is shit. he copy/pasted from the whole heritage line. 150 line = 1.5mm 250 line = 2.5mm

The first line is different though, so i'm not so sure.
Ah well, it really wont make too much of a difference for a small sauce pan of that size.
On a 3.5qt+ suacepan however you'd want 2.5mm for sure.
