If I'm getting chain 'za it's either PJ or Domino's. I've lived in 5 different states and no matter where I order PJ's it's always exactly like I expect and very well made.

this is legitimately true. i used to like dominos and pizza hut better but every once in awhile i've gotten a shit pie from one of them (usually undercooked/doughy taste). PJs is always the fucking same. Even little caesars isn't as consistent since sometimes you get a pizza they made four hours ago with congealed cheese and sometimes if just popped out of the oven.

SO Papa Johns is planing to come to New Zealand.

Currently, from the USA our pizza chains are Dominoes and Pizza Hut. We also have an NZ Hells Pizza.

It's consistently better than PH and D's. Some people think the sauce is too sweet, and that they skimp on the sauce. I don't believe either of these claims to be true, at least not in my experience. Their cheese is good quality and their dough has a good ratio of chewiness to airiness. Each pizza also comes with a free pepper and dipping sauce. All in all, Papa's is pretty based.

So the chain restaurants over sees typically vary from the ones in the Sates, from what I can tell. They have different menus and use different suppliers so I'm not sure a comparison would work. But for what it's worth, I used to hate Pizza Hut and could barely tolerate Dominos, until they changed their crust and I was done with them too. Papa was pretty decent and I would order from them quite often. You'll likely have more luck with a real pizzaria, obviously, but when You got to do chains, I would go straight to Papa. About a year ago I ordered from Pizza Hut, probably because I had a good coupon or something, but I was pleasantly surprised. They must have changed something in my decade long boycott because they took my favorite chain pizza spot from Papa. I still order form Papa, when the deal is right, but I prefer Hut a bit more. Dominos can slide their ass down a grade of razor blades into a pool of acid.
