I don't think soy is that bad on its own, especially if it's fermented in some way, or sprouted. But when it's hydrolyzed and/or the protein (or fat) is separated, you get into a real weird territory of 'probably unhealthy' foodstuff.

No more estrogenic than cow or chicken meat, which is given plethoras of fatening meal (an estrogenic process in its own right). Besides, animal estrogens are probably more significant on our systems than plant protein. Wouldn't you rather occupy your estrogen receptors with weak plant estrogen, rather than more powerful animal estrogen?
