If you stop making a comparison to other low wage slaves, what I wrong with any person making an amount of money legally and fairly through whatever means he is capable of?

Once you realize there is nothing wrong with someone earning any amount of money for their labor, you will realize that it is only sad that the low wage chef isn't paid more for his labor. Tho low wage is allowed because no one has legislated or regulated a better wage, for a low skilled work force that would have an almost impossible time unionizing across such a diverse industry with thousands and thousands of companies.

The interesting thing is, if you raised chef wages and that increased menu prices (not that there is any indication that's the case - it could just impact investment profit of the capital owner) those increased menu prices would make home cooking more attractive, which could lead to higher viewership and pay for people on YouTube that make instructional cooking vids.

I used to watch FN a lot too, but lately I've noticed that they're not very good anymore. A lot of shows are just competition things where you won't really learn anything because they have gimmicks like "use this unusual ingredient that you'll never use at home" or "make cupcakes with pork in it".

Well, what made me try out reddit was a Jack thread where people where making fun of him for putting mayo in a cake batter. I tried to explain to them that all of the ingredients in mayo go into a cake anyway, and it's basically just a shortcut. I got a bunch of negative responses because people just wanted to focus on bullying someone.

There's plenty of things Jack does wrong but that wasn't one of them, and they just wanted to make fun of him for that. I've made my own mayo but even with one egg I usually end up with more than I can use before it spoils. You can make a cake from scratch in the same time it takes to use mayo, you literally add eggs and oil, vinegar if needed, that should take you less time scraping out mayo from a jar and mixing it in to the batter since you have to mix the shit out of it to actually get it to blend in to the batter since it is a somewhat thick sauce whereas an egg and oil take almost no time to mix in.

Also the reason I mention preservatives is because you mention that store bought mayo lasts so long, that's preservatives job mate to make shit last longer.

I was kind of the same way, until I started browsing reddit and found that it offers some things that 4chan doesn't do so well. I've been browsing 4chan since it was new but still like reddit for some things. The default subs are usually bad because it's people just making puns over and over for upvotes, and the content is either political propaganda or random gifs/videos. If you find specific subs for things you like, it can be nice.
