Make some firecrackers with the windows open

I made them a lot growing up. I would use quick oats instead of old fashioned oats though. Sometimes I would use rice krispies cereal instead as well. It really changes it up for texture/flavor and causes less gas than all the oatmeal.

2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup milk
mix together, bring to a boil for 1 minute

Take off heat, add 1/2 stick butter, 3/4 cup peanut butter, 1 cup chocolate chips and mix until smooth. Then add around 3 cups oats or rice krispies, paying attention to texture. Too much and they are dry and crumbly, too little an the end up like runny cow patties and don't set well enough.

Spoon onto wax paper/foil/whatever and let cool off until solid texture.
