Has anyone here tried this shit? Apparently my grocery store gets stocked with them this week and I'm thinking of picking up a pack
No i'm not gay
It did not taste like a real burger at all.

I haven't seen that anywhere around here. You should buy a package just to see what it's like and post a review here.
How about don't try to fix shit that isn't broken
>20g protein
>22g fat
Vegan stuff is usually healthier.. I'll stick to my usual brand.
My mum used to always buy quorn mince and make cottage pie with it and I'd eat it and say it's great but then she'd get all smug and happy saying OHH IT'S NOT REAL MEAT IT'S GOOD THOUGH YOU COULDN'T TELL RIGHT like she concocted the recipe herself and I'd have to tell her I knew it was fake mince obviously and it was actually disgusting. People need knocking down a peg sometimes

What the hell were you expecting?
>>8991331
It tastes like wheat and potato and is oily as fuck. The best part is they claim to be a "plant" patty yet it contains beef blood.
Its fucking disgusting and people think this is the future since we, "cannot sustain the planet on meat for much longer".
>>8991414
Do you really believe it contains beef blood?
>>8991401
Well, when they're marketing it as a meat replacement, you'd expect it to taste somewhat like a real burger. It just did not at all. The "raw" form was fairly convincing at imitating raw beef though.
Meaty, but not like a burger. Sort of like a cake made of compressed bacon bits. Potted meat fans will like it. The tartare is really good, maybe better than when cooked. I like them, but they're grossly overpriced.

okay, that's a fair line of logic, but did you also consider that anybody who would actually purchase these things outside of morbid curiosity knows what meat tastes like at this point?
Or that even the makers might not know?

One of the aims of the company is to make a meat substitute that will convert omnivores to switching to their burger patties. They have been touting that in the press. So they have to a very clear idea of how a beef patty tastes like if they wanted to convince omnivores to eat their burgers.

>One of the aims of the company is to make a meat substitute that will convert omnivores to switching to their burger patties
That's every vegan food company's aim, and time and again they end up baffled when their entire repeat customer base consists of vegans.
I work as a sales rep for Quorn

did you make this thread you filthy shill?
>>8991480

>>8991336
>No. I am not gay.
Try using english correctly.
>>8991331
Give them a shot and then post a thread about your experience. I really like the idea of bioengineered (e.g. 3rd printed strands of biocultures) or plant based alternatives to slaughtering animals. Hopefully they will be cheaper and tastier than the real thing.

nah, thou art not Homosexual.
>>8991331
They leave an odd aftertaste that is a bit unpleasant. Needs condiments to end that.
>>8991331
Don't be a faggot. If you must have a veggie burger just buy some portobello mushrooms and toss that shit on a bun.
Its shit just like the impossible burger it will make you constipated
I like putting veggie patties with real patties
Am I the only one?
