it's weird that this is the only widely available plain cereal. it's still selling, so obviously people like it.

why not shredded rice? shredded oats? shredded corn? shredded barley?

Fiber keeps you regular...
>>
Cheerios, rice crispies, and chex are all plain and quite good. Corn flakes and wheaties are close to plain, just a light touch of sugar
>>
>>8988648
What do you think quick-cook oats are?
>>
>>8988648
>wheat
don't see how people like wheat, it makes your face puff up and get all tingly and your stomach feel like someone stabbed a knife in it. hate it personally
>>
>>8988905
but none of those are plain. shredded wheat has one ingredient.

>>8988922
you can't snack on rolled oats. think more like quaker oatmeal squares, but without the extra stuff.
>>
>>8988923
That's just you
>>
>>8988923
Yep. Everyone else just pretends to like wheat and ignores the stabbing pains.
>>
>>8989011
yeah well we'd all get along better if we just stopped eating wheat in that case

Weetabix and derivative imitations exist too. Corn flakes as well.

Shredded wheat became popular in Britain and America during the Second World War. Shredded wheat was considered healthier than the other, sugarier breakfast cereals of the day and so it took up less points on the ration book. It was thus associated with being a healthfag ever after.
