How the mighty have fallen.
whats wrong with bouillon cubes? not everybody has the time to make stock, and the shit in the carton is overpriced
>whats wrong with bouillon cubes?
pretty much everything
>not everybody has the time to make stock
everybody has the time but they might not have the wherewithal. that's why we're so lucky water is a thing
>>8982820
I prefer the bouillon paste, it's probably not better than the cubes but I've found it has better flavor
>>8982823
>pretty much everything
pick a few things that are wrong with it then, you don't have to list everything just the worst offenses it racks up.

Everyone that has a real job uses stock cubes. Who has the time to boil bones for 12 hours every week?
>if im being honest
>>8982834
I use a paste called "Better Than Bouillon". I find it to be better than everything except home made stock. I find the Vegetable Base to be better than any actual vegetable stock.
stock cubes?
dear oh dear...

>Who has the time to boil bones for 12 hours every week?
Actual chefs.

Yeah, but they are paid to make a perfect dish. There is literally nothing wrong with cutting some corners when cooking for peasants who expect it for free.

>wat is pressure cooker
Gee, Bill what with a job and all you can surely afford one!!!!1!

A lot of chefs (like retarded Ramsay) are now saying that 40 minutes is enough time to cook stock
>>8983991
40 minutes is how long you cook veg stock for..
overnight for anything with bones, though. two washes for veal bones.
If we're being honest the knorr pork stock cube just gives your pork that porkyness taste that salt and pepper can't .
>>8983991
40 minutes sounds about right.
