What is the deal with CarlsJr/Hardees meat?

Finely-ground meat.

Probably LFTB, i.e. pink slime. Because it's treated with ammonia it gets very soft and doesn't have the chewiness of regular ground beef.

It's a combination of being finely ground, compacted in order to save space when shipping, and being frozen. All of those together are going to produce a very dense, shitty burger.

No they dont. The mcdonalds patty still has a fine grind but has more clearly defined grounds of beef. The carls Jr patty looks more compressed and dried out. IMO the mcdonalds looks more like a normal burger patty.
