Fiddle heads? never heard of them. how do they taste?

What dips did you get?

Not yet! My local neighborhood's doesn't start until next month.

Not sure what they taste like, but they're unfurled ferns. Pretty easy to find at any park in early/mid spring.

this is my first time getting fresh fiddleheads so I'm not sure how I'm going to cook them. When I had them in pasta they had a rich spinach-y but brighter taste?

Mine isn't exactly a tourist attraction, it's fairly small, mainly produce stalls with meat, fish, and dairy and one soap lady, plus some bakers. But also I try to go as early as possible to avoid the crowds & children
