BBQ is slow cooked meat, cooked using an indirect heat source, and a smoke source of some kind (wood chips/chunks/logs/pellets).
What you describe is grilled shrimp. What most people are actually making when say they've made bbq chicken/ribs is just grilled chicken/ribs.
What you've got in your picture is braised ribs with BBQ sauce.
