for about 15 friends, lasangna and salad. easy and simple.
for 10 people, i made an "indian feast" with 2 curries, naan, a rice dish, lassi and so on. 1 whole day of work, was nice tho.
New years dinner for 20 friends. Turkey breast, creamed potatoes, gravy, steamed vegetables and caramel pudding for dessert. It went really well, and gained new respect for my mother who does this every new years eve.

Probably about 25 people. Had a "friendsgiving" celebration last November. While I encouraged everyone to bring a side dish or something they wanted to bring, I handled the turkey, the ham, the baked macaroni and cheese, the turkey gravy, and the mashed potatoes by myself. With some adderall and a nice cache of liquor, over a few hours, I pulled it off quite nicely.

45 people for a new years dinner. We made 12 courses.
125 people is my absolute maximum, with my student association. I made a maroccain lamb stew with couscous, with other people doing the entre and dessert.

chili con carne for 10 or 12 or so, went alright
canapé for 30 or so, went really great
tomato feta wraps for 15 or so, superb
salads and cake and beer and wine for 70 or so, I cant remember anything
literally 0. I never cooked for anyone. No one likes my food, and I barely have any friends.
40. Day after a wedding where the Bride/Groom rented a beach house for all of us to stay in. Made breakfast burritos for the whole house. Everyone was ridiculously hung over so I was the hero of the day
