I feel blue balled. Anyway have you tried using a sponge and soap? Maybe a dishwasher?
>>
Use glass.
>>
>>8860279
Won't help, use baking soda. The acids in tomatoes are responsible for the staining

use a FUCKING napkin when you eat spaghetti

>The acids in tomatoes are responsible for the staining

People believe this shit?
1) Acid isn't red.
2) Most plastics are unaffected by acids, especially weak acids found in foods.
3) Do you really think there is any acid left over to neutralize after the container has been washed?
>>

Prove me wrong then
>>
>>8860587
I just did.

By the way, you didn't answer the question I posed you in #3 above.

Oh, and here's another one for you to ponder: if acid causes stains, then why don't lemons/lemonade or orange juice/oranges stain plastic? Those are far more acidic than tomatoes are.

Literally tens of thousands of results in Google contradict you.
>>
>>8861785

And yet you haven't managed to post a single bit of information!

By the way, you're still ignoring my questions. Why do think that is?
>>

>acid isn't red
What colour is acid?
>>
>>8861823
Ok faggot: lycopene is an acid. When you put hot sauce in a porous material like plastic, it absorbs it. Mix baking soda and water to get rid of the stain.
>>
using bleach will remove most of the acid from the lycopene of the tomato but usually has trouble removing the red pigment staining it.
adding a small amount of ammonia (you can find in cleaning section of literally all grocery stores) will remove the stain and Wallah its clean
>>
>>8861871
WTF I did this and now everything is covered in crystals?
Thanks asshole
>>
>>8861854
>lycopene is an acid

No it's not. It's not even water-soluble so how the fuck can it be an acid?

>>Mix baking soda and water to get rid of the stain.
Why would water remove something that's not water-soluble?

Why is my tomato sauce still red even after I add baking soda to it?

Face it kid, you know fuck all about chemistry.

Tomatoes simply contain red pigments that stain plastic. Acid/base has nothing to do with any of this.

>>8860545
I almost thought it was just going to be the same as the OP.
>>
>>8861897
Water is just used to help it scrub.
