Are these things worth it?
Reviews tend to be
>best meal I've ever had
or
>overpriced box that doesn't even hold temperature well
seems to be a bit of one upsmanship about who can keep food in there's longer, I like eating today, not in 72 hours
there's also the stick ones, but I'd be worried about evaporation if I have to kept a big bowl of water halfway to boiling for 2 hours

For $360?! Fuck no.
Use a styrofoam cooler and an aquarium heater.
Sounds like you could also use a Jucero. Act now and purchase the Jucero for $400.00, a steal at the original price of $700.00.

get an Anova. It is like $150. no need for vacuum sealing, just use ziploc bags.
but buy it. it is incredible

>not UL listed
>burns down your house
>oops! your insurance is now invalid!

I've been wanting one of these for a while now, but I'm saving to buy a house and can't justify dropping $150 on it.
I often get department store gift cards for birthdays or Christmas but these anova assholes insist on selling them only from their own website, not via a retailer.

>I'll just tell my insurance adjuster to call Sarah N. from the Amazon review and tell them they owe me $490k because it's 4.5 stars

Which of those certified the Anova?

I already looked, it wasn't. that was three months ago. I have no reason to assume anything has changed in that time
you're the one being argumentative here. you claim they're tested? fine. show the link. otherwise fuck off.
