Are there any recipes that call for COOKED red onions that aren't better served by a sweeter onion like Vidalias?
I know they work well when raw, like on sandwiches, but I never see recipes calling for them when the onion is getting cooked

Mostly use yellow onion but if I want to add some color to a dish I'll add a red onion. The taste is a bit different but still pretty good.
