I have a good recipe rotation for weeknight meals but im getting a little sick of the same sides.
Do you have any suggestions on how to mix it up a little?

yes, it is.
Quick pickles. You can pickle any fucking veggie which is great for variety.
I made smashed cucumber pickles last night. Smash the cuke, cut it, salt it, let it sit for 10 minutes, rinse, add a dash of rice vinegar and sesame oil...enjoy!
Saute whatever vegetables are in season in your area.
I rarely make side dishes, as it's easier to just cook the protein with the veggies and serve over / with some kind of carb, like rice, pasta, taters, whatever. I like to cook using at least a 3 -1 ratio of veg to protein, so if I have a 1/2 cup of protein, I'll cook it with at least 1.5 cups of veg, if not more. Makes keeping things in balance easier, and saves me from trying to think up new sides.
I do like making simple veg salads, though.
