1-seperate the yolks from the whites (this is the "no shit" step)

2- use a whisk to beat the fuck out of the yolks until they are more runny. Essentially they should drop freely (or near enough) when you lift the wise out of the yolks

3-use a spoon to drizzle the yolk on whatever you're basting and smear it around for coverage

You'd be better off using a baster or a brush though

i ordered some chicken tenders for dinner roughly 12 hours ago and didn't eat them all. i just left them sitting in the tray, not refrigerated. they haven't expired by now, have they?
