I made a chicken parm yesterday with yellow squash. First time making it, used old bay and a good amount of salt for the sauce. I think it came out well.

Any tips on keeping the fried coating on the chicken? I did flour, egg, then breadcrumbs. Fine for the most part but it sloughs off when I'm cutting into it.

Then today I tried making a parmesan popcorn. Stove popped about half a cup of kernels, then tossed that in a butter+paprika sauce+homemade hot oil sauce. I added about ten dried peppers I ground up with the salt and then parm onto two baking sheets. 5 minutes at 350 dried it up great.

Filling as all hell but good spice from the peppers. The cheese baked pretty well onto it.

Also tried my hand at baking! Saw a recipe for steel cut oatmeal bars online and decided to try it. Substituted half a cup of flour for banana whey protein powder, and used peanuts, dried banana chips, and raisins for the filling.

The recipe called for a maple glaze but I've been on a peanut butter kick and mixed up a peanut butter frosting (just pb sugar and little water).

Ended up being a lot more dough than I expected for my pan so they're thicker than I would've liked but I guessed on the cook time and they came out great! The PB frosting really adds the appropriate sweetness.

Froze most of it and left the rest in the fridge. Much better cold.

Thanks! I'm surprised just how well the steel cut oats cooked into this semi brownie like thing. I usually only eat them in overnight oats so they stay firm and real chewy.

No i just add enough to know it will add flavor. It doesn't really fuck with the powder/water ratio like you'd think
