Who here has ever tried this stuff? I had it a lot growing up, when I'd visit my grandparents in Georgia. I think it's pretty decent, good with biscuits and cornbread.
What regional "alternative" sweeteners have y'all used?

Local honey if you can afford it has mild health benefits and tastes great.
I don't regularly eat it as-is, but malt syrup is fucking delicious.
Hiya kiddies :^)
What if maple syrup is our regional alternative sweetener?

Sup nigger

There's nothing "alternative" about a jug of artificially flavored corn syrup. It's is 99% the exact same as the "maple flavored" corn syrup you usually use.

Sorghum is a naturally extracted plant syrup. Nothing artificial about it. And I do not use maple "flavored" syrup.

I bid thee peer upon the image more intently.

Corn syrup is naturally extracted from plants too.

Wtf wouldn't your white trash grandpap have been using sorghum molasses? That would have at least been worthy of a tip of the fedora. HFCS shit makes your gramps look like the retarded fuck he really is.

That's nice except your image of "this stuff you had a lot growing up" clearly says "sorghum flavored syrup" not "sorghum syrup" and the first ingredient can be read easily: corn syrup. I also see a very prominent sodium benzoate and "caramel color".
Your grandparents are trash and so are you.
