Man, this place is delicious. It's been awhile since I've eaten here and it hasn't changed at all. The smoke sauce is like some smoky ketchup-y BBQ sauce, but I can't just explain it. It's so good, and unpretentious. Definitely a blue collar burger joint, replete with video poker machines. It's not fancy.

Black Iron Burger is my favorite burger joint in NYC. Beats the shit out of the massively overrated Shake Shack. They do a caramelized onion/house made truffle mayo combination that is fucking delicious.

Burgers are pretty good but I think it really gets hyped up for the experience. The place is so insanely small and it's neat to see the guy working the grill go through the whole process and keep track of like a dozen orders at once.

I've only ever gone at like 10:30 on weekdays so I've never seen a line but they can get big on weekends and at night.

My only complaint would be that if you put a sack of burgers in your car it will probably smell for a good week.
