Whether it's good or not, tofu available for Western market is shit. If you ever live in Asia, try freshly-made Tofus.
>>

As good for you as beans are, which is to say, pretty good.
Cheap protein without cholesterol is always healthy, unless you're eating shoe leather.

I keep hearing things about soy causing problems for men. I don't know if there's actually anything to it, but I avoid it just in case (not like I'm missing out).

How about dwarves?
>>

Soy has a lot of estrogen in it.

It can fuck hormones up in men if you eat a lot of it regularly. Eaten sparingly it's fine though, and very good for you.

Manlets should just die in general, honestly. I guess some interpretations of folklore dwarves weren't manlets at all though, in which case it's fine

I love that his first reaction to hearing those words was to look straight up at the sky

We use mice cause they're pretty reliable, despite some fringe exceptions

They're mini humans. Ld50s can be directly translated by the kg from mice to humans in 99% of cases.

in order to get timely results, we are forced to use creatures with smaller mass, and shorter gestation periods for scientific research. We have over time managed to figure out which creatures are decent analogues for human biology. Realize that studies are published specifically for peer review and argumentation, but a reasonable person can read a study, pick apart its testing methodology, and draw their own conclusions. You are always free to re-evaluate your conclusions as further studies attempt to confirm or contradict the original.

We call this critical thinking, and it's a skill that is sadly dying,

Death is a lot less complicated than infertility.

That paper by the American Nutrition Association is probably the best paper about soy that I have read. Pretty good information and it is worth a read.

tl;dr fermentation kills off all the bad stuff about soy, and be careful about non-fermented soy products including tofu.
