I became a bit depressed myself when reading this thread, if only with the realisation that these companies put this stuff out, which means that people must be buying it. If they're buying it, they're probably eating it.

I'd rather put a slice of cheese between a slice of bread than entertain the notion of eating some of these culinary aberrations.

Banquet is below poverty-tier. That shit is like $1.
Marie Calendar and Hungry Man are WAY better made. They're still TV dinners but they're at least passable as lazy microwavable meals, and while eating them every day is sad as shit sometimes you just dont give a fuck and want something vaguely hot and tasty at the end of a long day.

I love this trash and would like to make a big batch so I could just scoop out a bit anytime I wanted one.
>>
>>8740804
That shit ain't poverty tier. No microwaveble meals are, unless you have some source of income along with SNAP.

Imagine having an egg or two with vitamins in the morning, a tin of tuna by itself for lunch, and rice and beans every night . That's pretty decent for poverty.

You might as well actually cook something if you're going to have to do stuff like that - I almost never eat them, but when I do I just microwave it for the total time, and then add more if it's still cold or let it sit a little if it's too hot.

>>
>>8749459
They are blocks of ice. Standard microwaves are 1100 watts in US. It takes time to thaw it out and make it hot and to cook the brownie. Most dinners are something like "poke holes in this, microwave 3-4 minutes, stir this, microwave another minute" But the brownie shit messes everything up on most.
>>
>>8739675
Not mine - I didn't eat pizza again until I was an adult and figured out it's not all like that. There was literally no cheese, it was the bright red ketchup-like sauce on an uncooked wonderbread "crust" and that was it - it was more like a ketchup and white bread sandwich than pizza, but they didn't even give you a second slice of bread like that would have.

My Walmart doesn't sell any microwave below 1000 watts.
I should know. I replaced my broken 8 year old Microwave like 2 weeks ago.

The buffalo chicken mac and cheese with blue cheese from them is really really good. If you liked that one I recommend you try the buffalo next

This is what spawned my love for blackened chicken alfredo. I make it from scratch every payday now. Easily my favorite food.

I see what you mean. Honestly the banquet brownies really remind me of those mug brownies. I think the microwave is what gives that brownie its specific texture.

Maybe.

I should probably just find out myself.
Flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and oil are cheap as shit; most baking is.

They strike me as more like cake than a brownie because of how airy they are, so there's probably baking powder or soda in it. They have a real rise to them. I'm gonna head to the grocery store, I might look at the back of a box for you.
