Damn. I don't know of any particularly local to my state chips anyway, but I do know of an obscure flavor that's probably popular in Maryland. Utz makes something they call crab chips. Chips seasoned with what is basically Old Bay. They're like crack, I can't stop eating them after I start. I've found them easily at grocery stores in NC, and I'd bet they're only more popular up in Maryland.

Last few times I've bought these chips they've been suuuper light on seasoning. First time i bought them they had plenty of spice but everytime after that it's been basically plain chips. I've basically had to add old bay to them. It's fucking depressing

Somehow I didn't even know these were a thing before I googled "North Carolina potato chip". Never had them, but if they're true to the name they should have a strong vinegar flavor and mild spice, with little sweetness.

Utz makes pretty solid chips, I've yet to try a flavor I didn't like from them. That said, I've mostly just had their standard stuff such as barbecue or sour cream and onion. They don't cost a lot and they have a decent quality. Personally I prefer Utz over Lay's.

They used to sell Lay's where I'm from but domestic brands pretty much muscled them out. I will keep an eye open for any unique Utz flavours along my way though!

Suppose they're not for everyone, but one of my favorite brands when I was still out in PA was Dieffenbachs. The sour cream and onion are hit or miss, if they're seasoned well they're great. If not, they just seem too salty. But the plain, jalapeno, and salt+vinegar are pretty good as well. Safe travels anon.

All Zapp's flavors, Utz crab fries (Herr's makes crab and cheese too), Utz kettle chips, Middleswerth BBQ, Gibbles, and Martin's BBQ (pic related).

This and Jalapeno are the best flavors, Washington state has a shitload of Kettle chip brands

Only place I've seen them is this one place on my campus, but they switched them out for these juggalo chips
