I'm not into open unmonitored buffet tables. I'll take a pass if they aren't prepackaged in tubs with lids in portions, or if they aren't in a glass jar.

When I buy olives, I pretty much like them all, actually. In my house I always have a jar of oil-cured ripe olives, jumbo colossal queen olives, and then something fun, from greek to castelvetrano, whatever mood I might have.

I add oil cured olives to the top of pizzas, to pastas, on top of meat, in sauces, or in a pasta or grain cold salad. I use black and queen olives in an egg salad. Mostly, I just nibble on olives before a meal, or alongside the salad course.

There is actually a store near me that sells nothing but olive oil.
