Let's talk about foods that taste different but are still otherwise similar. Obviously apples and oranges don't count because apples are vastly superior in every way.
I'll start: Poptarts / toaster strudels

Poptarts taste like cardboard.
I'll buy a box of toaster strudels tonight to see what they taste like.

Poptarts and toaster strudels are like those old style flat frozen pizzas compared to like a restaurant pizza

Oh no doubt, but it's been maybe ten years since I first saw a toaster strudel commercial and I've never had one
If you can imagine, there are probably numerous wholesalers of flour that supply commercial food manufacturers, but I think pop-tarts have found the cheapest one. Way beyond Gold Medal or Martha White, I'm talking some brown paper bag shit from Pakistan that costs pennies for a 50 lb. bag. That's the shit they make pop-tarts out of.

Toaster strudel master race. Poptarts just can't compete.
