I'll have to try this one.
Have you ever grown your own asparagus? Holy shit I will never go back to store bought again.
>>
>>8693962
I like my asparagus with a poached egg and a white wine and lemon reduction sauce

>growing asparagus

Not OP, but we have a bed of 12 crowns and it's just started coming in this year. The great thing is, once you plant the crowns, they keep coming back every year with just a little weeding and topping with compost. This is our fifth year of production. The only drawback is that it produces a shitload for 3-4 weeks and then quits.
>>
>>8694298
This is the first year that mine has grown and I have just started harvesting them. I wish I had known how easy and delicious they were.
Also my piss stinks less with the home grown kind.
>>
>>8694205
On that note, grape jelly and fried chicken.
>>
>>8693962

i've done this many times. i line the asparagus up and crack the eggs over them and then flip them like a pancake.
>>
>>8694320

>>
I wouldn't really call it a good combo in most cases, but putting a couple of over easy eggs on a Cesar wrap is delicious.
>>
>>8694535
>coke and a hunk of white baguette
the fuck is wrong with you? coke and vanilla ice cream, on the other hand, is awesome. everybody always looks at me as if i just insulted their dead grandma when i tell them to try it, though
>>
>>8694535
This isn't one only I know about, but since we're talking about combos with Coke, Coke and peanuts. Get some Coke in a glass bottle, drop a handful of roasted peanuts into it after you take a sip or two to make room. Sip on Coke and let a few peanuts into your mouth at a time. It's the best snack the South ever invented, next to cheese straws.
>>
>>8694619
people look at you crazy for suggesting they try a float?
>>
>>8694644
yes they do, it's absolutely unheard of where i'm from. i don't know why

>>
>>8694757

>>
ugh asparagus grilled with some olive oil is so fucking good
>>
>>8693962
Goat cheese and smoked salmon. Preferably on an everything bagel.
>>
Mac and cheese
wonder bread

toasted mac and cheese sandwich
>>
>>8694535
>>8694638
I used to do this as a kid all the time with salty snacks and bread. Also potato chips+peanuts at the same time are a great combo. Why aren't there snack mixes with both of them?
>>
>>8694321
Nigger detected
>>
steamed broccoli with Worcestershire sauce
>>
broccoli and onions
>>
salt on roasted pumpkin
>>
>>8694535
Reminds me of when I was a kid and I'd get home from school and eat "breadballs" with milk as a snack. I'd take a couple slices of soft bread, eat the crusts off, then smash the rest into a doughy ball and chew it while taking sips of milk. Every once in awhile, I'll sneak that again when my spouse and kids aren't looking, to have a nostalgia moment.
>>
>>8694638
Agreed .
I spent a lot of time as a kid with my dad while he was working (he's a rancher), and this was the snack he'd take along for us in the afternoon. My memories of coke and salted peanuts are like my lifeblood. Tastes good with Dr. Pepper as well, or for those who remember it, Delaware Punch.
>>
Blue cheese and pear sauce.

Salmon and leaf spinach.

Also, green asparagus is plebeian tier. White asparagus is the good shit.
>>
>>8694757
Dudeeee it was sooo good. We all ate that. But instead of hot cheetos we used turbos flamas.
>>
Bread dipped in creamy Italian dressing
>>
>>8693962
Do you put ketchup on it?
>>
>>8693962
Bigmac and sushi
>>
>>8698479
Ketchup doesn't go well with asparagus, so no.
>>
>>8693962
WATER + WATER FILTER
>>
>>8693962
Cheeseburger with a slice of ham on it

Way better than a bacon cheeseburger
>>
>>8698561
Why not poached eggs then?

I can't eat scrambled if it's not drenched in ketchup & pork fat.
>>
BBQ chips and cream cheese
>>
>>8698571
>I can't eat scrambled if it's not drenched in ketchup & pork fat.
Well, I can.

Salad dressings are surprisingly versatile.

I like putting them on hot rice.
