As long as the sides of the can aren't bulging you should be fine. This food sits in warehouses for a while, and trust me they aren't climate controlled. Then they sit in the back room of a store which might be semi controlled but most likely is hot/cold.
Source: I work for coca cola, it gets so hot some days that bottles will blow their tops off.

Well, as an inventory analyst I get to see new product a few/several months before release. Other than that, most days are just making sure trucks are coming and going on time. Boring would be a perfect word for it.
