Redpill me on london broils.

I know it's a tough cut of meat, there's a reason it's dirt cheap, but I want cheap beef so what can I do with it? It doesn't roast, I can grill it hot and fast but it's still tough as fuck, it's almost impossible to cut across it's wonky grain.

I'm contemplating buying a tenderizer to make the most of it, I figure severing a ton of the fibers before grilling will make it the most edible.

I made a pretty rare one tonight which had the benefit of not being tough, but it was still chewy.

Jerky is the answer my friend. Marinated then smoked

Wouldn't using slow-cooker work to make it tender?

Yes.

Oooh that's a good idea. I never even considered that.

Does it break/cut the muscle fibers in the beef?

No?

Then it's not going to be tenderized.

I marinated my steak, had balsamic, lemon, and soy in the marinade. It helps seal in the juices that are already there, but it will not make a london broil melt in your mouth like a tenderloin does.

It's bromelain so yes
>>

Interesting ok then.

Put it in a slow cooker or crock pot with red wine to help tenderize it and soy sauce. Also garlic. If you want a BBQ flavor one, use Pineapple juice to tenderize it.
>>
cook it with sauteed onions

get a sharp knife and cut thin. Picture you posted isn't thin enough.

Dip it in worstershire sauce.
