Yes, all the time. Here's a pic of the last homemade sushi I made at home. I'm still learning but I think I'm getting better.

The rolls are tough and mine only came out half decent bc i bought one of those bamboo rolling mats. The nigiri is very easy though

It's actually Indian, but appropriated by the Chinese, and then made its way into Vietnam where it most popular in its current variation as we think of it today.

I make spicy crab rolls at home every now and then. I want to make actual raw sushi but i don't know how to prepare/find sushi grade salmon.

If there's anything different it's that nearly all sushi fish has been frozen to around -20-40 degrees Fahrenheit to kill most/all pathogens

yes, a few years ago with a girl i met in japanese class. initially i thought it was a date, meeting at her place and making sushi and doing our japanese homework. turned out, her "roommate" was actually her girlfriend. well, there did that plan go. at least the food was okay, even though i used too much water for the rice

I have made some but I suck at make them thin.I should practice more but then I don't want to eat sushi more than once or twice a year.

Same here. It looked so easy watching the guys at Morimoto. Things turned out differently than I expected. I mangled a lot of expensive fish and I got rice all over my hands. All those people who shitpost about sushi is "just some raw fish on rice" should try it themselves and be humbled
