How do I stop cooking food that looks like puke?
My cooking usually tastes pretty good but I'm terribad at presentation. In this example I made a mascarpone (ran out of cream) and white wine sauce for my mussels. It was too runny so I put some flour in. Now it looks like it's already been eaten. This is a recurring problem. How 2 fix?

>This is a recurring problem
I mean my food looking gross is a recurring problem, not putting too much flour in sauces.
Well here, it is exactly the flour that is the problem. If you dont make a roux flower will naturall clump like hell

Cheese and shellfish is a weird combination. Maybe your food looks awful because you're doing things most folks wouldn't?

Stop caring what it looks like as long as it tastes good. Plenty of food made by restaurants look like shit too. I mean alfredo sauce smells like puke to me but it's not going to stop me from eating it. Also, I hate flour to thicken sauce, tastes terrible.

Thanks. I didn't expect to use flour here but I will remember to plan ahead next time.

Tastes pretty good. I used too much lemon though.

But I want to post it online to get vagina access credits. Not really but I do get jealous when I see pictures of people's food that's plated really well and looks delicious. Also I believe aesthetics affect the perception of flavour and a good cook should consider other senses than just taste.

>it makes a creamy sauce.
If OP pic is any indication it makes an ugly sauce.
