I did. Started in the industry, then went to college to get a diploma in kitchen management. Good stuff. I learned a lot, but my teachers/chefs were also extremely talented.

I paid money so that i can be qualified to be a manager of a restaurant or a chef. If i wanted to stay a line cook my entire life I would have stayed home.

How much do you think chefs make dumb ass? Unless you luck out and become an executive chef at a 3-star restaurant.

I only studied for 2 years, AOS in Culinary Arts. First job was on a Carnival cruise-liner. $46,000season + room/board.

So 23/h. What's your point?

I'm not shooting for a major Michelin star restaurant. A basic chef can cook just fine but learning manger skills and logistics is where a good chef strives. A manager makes more than a line cook

Lol nah senpai too many people. Plus Napa valley has more to offer with farm to table and wine

A manager at a restaurant has long hours and is paid a salary of around 60-80k tops.
I bought a 50 lb bag of bread flour at Costco a few weeks ago so I feel like I'm in baking school now.
