Hey /ck/ Im gonna make some ramen in a few minutes. What should I put in there to make it taste a bit better? I'm not looking for complicated pretentious shit like boiled eggs or bacon strips or anything fancy, just some spices and other assorted easy things to liven it up
Buy better ramen packs next time. They're in the ethnic food aisle.

>complicated pretentious shit
>cracking an egg into it and eating it
if this is too complicated and pretentious for you, you'd better be eating those noodles uncooked out of the bag. you don't even get the spice packet.

Im talking about the people that hard boil the egg, freeze it, peel it, cut it, all that shit

I've talked about this on /ck/ before I think but: Put a little drip of diet soda in there. Diet pepsi works best but any diet soda is fine. I usually put more than a drip in personally but if you've never done it before it's best to start off slow
There's a guide for this. Lurk around, I can't find the one that I have saved in my PC.

I'm intrigued... Why do you do this? What does it add?

Diet soda

I knew the second I posted that that someone would respond this way. Die. Die in a fire.
>i would have replied the same way

That sounds more retarded than the "add peanut butter xD" meme.

tweak this to your desired tastes my dude
most spices are shit for ramen because they don't mix well with water. things like pepper, curry powder, etc. that just sink to the bottom of the bowl.
I usually just add some cayenne pepper and a drop or two of habanero tabasco, I avoid soy sauce because it's pure salt but it's a pretty staple addition. a soft-boiled egg is nice, you get the yolk in the broth and nice solid egg white chunks.

also frozen vegetables are a great addition, you just put them in the water before it boils and cook it alongside the noodles.
if not for improved soup, then at the least for your health, ramen is 50% carbs 50% salt, and a handful of frozen mixed veggies is like 10c

Idk exactly how to describe the flavor, but I guess the sodium? Obviously don't do that shit if you're trying to cut back on sodium but I love the taste of it and the way the sodium from the two interacts
Cheese is your best bet. Drain the noodles and add about half of the salt packet so you don't die of kidney failure.
