Let's talk about memorable/good times when cooking
>be me, an 8 year old kid
>see cookie monster cookie recipe in a sesame street book
>beg my parents to let use the oven to make them
>they agree but only if I clean everything when I'm done
>start mixing stuff, it's going well
>it's off by the time I'm done, overmixed to hell

>set the oven at the wrong temp, burn the cookies
>start crying because I'm only eight but now I know I'm a dumbass and the rest of my life will just be worse
>dad comes in, sees tough, burnt cookies
>eats them
>tells me they're delicious and helps me clean
>I believe him and keep cooking
>a few years later I figured he lied about the cookies, now I'd feel insecure whenever he said my food was good
>decide to go all out
>mushroom risotto with grilled lemon chicken and glazed carrots
>it was the best thing I had made so far
>serve it to my dad, ask him what he things
>says "it's delicious"
