Okay, let met get this out there even if it's going to get people mad.
In most cases, chili on hot dogs is fucking disastrous.
Most hot dog buns are just too small to handle a wiener, condiments, and chili. You need an XL/XXL bun(if they FUCKING EXIST) just to maintain the structural integrity of the hotdog if you put chili on it.
