Why would you make a Mac jr? It delegitimizes the "Mac" brand. Its like a CLA Mercedes. Its a badge but a shitty car that devalues the whole brand. Besides, with Americans enlarging regularly, who does this even appeal to? Who is the target market for this sandwich?

Smooshed together, so it blends and becomes all pasty, which makes all the components unable to be differentiated. Minimal and bland toppings; the lettuce basically just adds the tiniest of textures but almost no flavour at all and the sauce is just fat and salt. The bun is a little depressing since it has very little rise to it and without flavour of its own, yet again it's just another bland component. The beef is at least seasoned and cooked, but lacks personality of its own from often being overcooked red meat, and there isn't much meat to speak of, but it's the least offensive part of the sandwich at the end of the day. Seriously, Mac Jr. are basically the "who cares" option of McDonalds which basically means you don't give two shits how you spend your money on food.
How do you fix this shit? You give it decent toppings; bold sauces with panache and even subtlety, vegetables that are fresh and stand out on their own while also complimenting the flavours of the beef and the sauce. Give that shit a decent bun, I suggest something sourdough or a pretzel bun, and you have an infinitely improved product.
/rant, go back to eating your glorified garbage.
>Who is the target market for this sandwich?
i've been ordering a cheese burger, minus ketchup, plus mac sauce and lettuce for years
being able to now get it with the sesame seed bun is top notch (even though i don't think they have these in canada yet)

Actually I found the copypasta after I made the thread.

I don't mind the idea, I do mind that they seem to think adding lettuce and big mac sauce to a cheeseburger more than doubles the value

>Bitching about how a cheeseburger costs $2.

It has a bigger patty and bun. Regular pattys are 1/10 lb, the grand mac and mac jr use 1/6 lb pattys.

My mom was kind of excited about it. She said it looked good when the commercial came on and started asking me about it like if I had one and if it was good.
