If I had stuck with the previous role, I'd probably be making somewhere between $200-300k per year, but I'm not chasing that guy's "betterment" dream. I get to travel at least once a month, if not twice, I get off at noon on Fridays, I work from wherever I want.

It's easy to say "work towards one that interests you" when at the end of the day, you need to put food on the table and a roof over your head. It also doesn't help me that I'm in a job which is heavily in demand, meaning when people look at my resume, they want me to do what I've been doing. I've got ten years of experience, so it's not like I can just easily pivot and make a change. The best I can do is find a job that slightly lets me do some of the things I want to do.

Health isn't a bad thing, but focusing on it as a primary goal is a detriment to spending time with people. If you have a 9+ hour workday, and then 2 hour gym visit (including commute here), you're looking at a minimum of 11 hours left available for sleep, friends, and hobbies.

I find spending time with my friends more fulfilling than any hobby I could spend time with.

Alot of the friends I have share the same hobbies I have. You can make new friends with hobbies to. Bonding over a common intrest in something grows a stonger relationship than just getting wasted and hanging out.
