Puree some parsnip (used to substitute roux)
Boil veggies in enough chicken stock just to cover
Add puree of parsnip near the end to thicken

I can't tell you how many times I've given that garbage a try and from how many different locations. Every time it's exactly the same- flavorless and dull. That's the stuff they pass around in villages along the Mekong delta to keep villagers from dying of starvation. If they're fresh out of cardboard, that is. Fuh is the poor man's cardboard dumpling.

Do you know where you are?

This is a little unrelated, but when I was younger I had a lava lamp and I would get it really hot and melt chocolate on the base of it. Then I'd press my penis into the melted chocolate and sit on my bed and wipe the chocolate off my penis with my fingers and eat it that way. I'd do this for hours.
