It's called Gold Medal flour for a reason.

Whatever whole grain stuff is sold where you live. Flour distribution tends to be regional. Unless you want to pay way more for stuff like Bob's.

This. I bake with whole wheat, and once tried Gold Medal but it isn't milled fine enough and when I sift it the bran stays behind in the sieve.

Bob's Red Mill has good corn flour.

generic AP bleached white flour is excellent. But always add like 1/4 cup of whole wheat flour if you're baking bread. It just won't taste right without it.

pillsbury bread flour is also excellent.

King arthur has the whole wheat flour market cornered in my area, so they've been jacking up the price of their 5 pound bags. it is pissing me off. 4.35 for 5 pounds of whole wheat flour. such a rip off. I can get it cheaper online. literally ordering a 50 pound bag of ww flour is cheaper!
