I've got a fair amount of soup recipes under my belt, but not many of them are creamed soups.
What are your favorite creamed soups? I'd like to make a few different types this week.
clam chowder
I'm on a diet and have been craving some chicken and leek cream soup. Instead of using a roux for the cream foundation, I've been teasing with the idea of using a parsnip puree and additional corn starch to thicken. A parsnip puree will add the creamy appearance and give it a mild clove flavor which I think would pair well with leek, carrots and peas.

Olive Garden Chicken and Gnocci is one of my favorite soups. There are tons of recreation recipes online and they're great, my biggest problem is finding gnocci in my small town.
